On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Oxfam at Queen’s held our annual Oxjam fundraiser concert at The Brooklyn. All proceeds went to Oxfam Canada’s relief efforts in Haiti in response to Hurricane Matthew. Special thanks to our amazing performers who shared with us their spectacular musical talent.
Our first act was Austin Strange and Hailiah Knight. Nothing like a Batman onesie and amazing lashes to get the show started.
Our second act was Erez who graced us with some beautiful vocals with Nick and his guitar.
Our third act came to us from across the pond, the Glasgow Kisses. This band is made up of a trio of students here on exchange. Nothing like a few really well done covers of some classics!
Last but not least, our fourth act was the amazing duo that is The Paper Ladies. They managed to keep the energy going to end our event off on a fantastic musical note!
Thanks to everyone who came out to support these local artists and Oxfam’s cause. We raised $1100 for Oxfam’s relief efforts and we couldn’t have done it without your help. Special shoutout to the ever talented Oxfam at Queen’s Events Coordinator Rachel Field for putting the event together. Definitely a project to be proud of.
Here’s to another successful Oxjam!
